Joshua Linfoot
Joshua Linfoot is an American author of dark fantasy and gothic horror. His work blends forgotten folklore, historical inspiration, and immersive worldbuilding into stories where power has rules, choices have consequences, and hope survives even in the darkest places.
A former U.S. Army Public Affairs Mass Communication Specialist, Joshua spent years documenting the stories of Soldiers through writing, photography, and video. That experience shaped his belief that the most memorable stories are not defined by spectacle alone, but by the people forced to make impossible choices.
He is the founder of NidhBane Books, an independent imprint dedicated to dark fantasy, gothic horror, LitRPG, and speculative fiction.
Joshua’s novels draw inspiration from medieval history, classic literature, mythology, and religious tradition. Whether writing about haunted seas, forgotten kingdoms, cursed relics, or monsters pulled from ancient legend, his goal is always the same: to tell stories that leave readers thinking long after the final page.
He lives in Washington State with his wife and son, where he continues to build the worlds of the NidhBane universe and write stories for readers who believe darkness is most meaningful when there is still something worth fighting for.
